Network Reliability
Proactive monitoring and established fail-over mechanisms help maintain the reliability of our network and your services
Even the most advanced technology can’t help your business if it isn’t operating. That’s why at One Communications, we go the extra mile to keep you up and running. It starts with our state-of-the-art Network Operations Centers (NOC), where we proactively monitor vital network elements throughout our footprint around the clock. In fact, we uncover and rectify many issues before customers are even aware of them. Staffed by vendor-certified technicians, the NOC routinely performs remote critical-path diagnostics to meet the highest standards of network availability.
Then there’s the network itself. We own all 11,000 miles of route fiber, so we know it inside out and have more control over how it’s monitored, maintained and repaired. Self-healing, fault tolerance and redundancy are built in to help ensure that minor issues don’t become major problems. We even adhere to stringent “safe time” repair schedules, which means network repair and maintenance are done overnight where possible to minimize or eliminate any impact on our customers. We operate a fleet of over 200 repair vehicles, with highly trained Field Technicians supporting our network and our customers. Each technician is equipped with advanced testing and installation tools such as T-Berds, Optical Light Meters and CAT5 testers to ensure our rapid response to your needs.
